Colourful Long Necklace With Owl Pendant

Colour inspiration comes from everywhere doesn't it.  I purchased a pair of brightly coloured  hairy slippers from  Marrakesh recently which seemed like a perfect place to start. Gazing at my collection of bits and pieces, I soon picked out a random selection of things to form the basis of this piece.  An orange centipede, a colourful motorbike, a miniature pink cooking pot, an orange 'creature' with boggly eyes and a wind-up owl.  Heaven!  I also handbeaded around some second hand plastic blue cabouchons as beading brings me joy and calm.

The end result is random but a good random I hope and you can detach the pendants.  The owl will scuttle across a table when wound up.
