Pink Lucite Flower Pendant Necklace

This is a lovely lucite ex-brooch which I have made into a necklace.

Lucite was developed in the 1930s and was originally used for military aircraft windshields.  It transitioned into high-fashion costume jewellery in the 1940s-50s as a cheaper alternative to glass and bakelite.

The flowers to the center of the pendant are a bright pinky-coral and I found some fabric flowers to go amongst the beads of the necklace.
