Vintage Belt Necklace

Even though part of this delightful little vintage belt was missing and it was showing its age (aren't we all!), I couldn't help but bring it home to see if I could reinvent it somehow.   

I decided to make the original buckle the top of the necklace and each of the seven segments below has a pretty delicate stamped design possibly to imitate cut steel.  I love the beautiful worn patina of greyish silver although it may well have been very much brighter when it was brand new.  I have added pyrite beads to the bottom of the pendant and it is suspended from an attractive necklace of pyrite and small silver-coloured beads each with a small heart design.
